Thunderstorm killed 300 goats in the Hiran region.

Baledweyne (KAAB TV)-  In accordance with local media accounts, a lightning strike in the Hiran region killed at least 300 goats.

Lightning struck Teedaan, one of Mahaas district’s villages, after heavy rainfall in the Hiran region during the last few days.

Livestock owner Ali Abdi Amin, also known as Ali Afey, told the media that lightning killed a goat in one camp and that none of his livestock survived.

“There were 300 goats in the camp, the animals that were killed by the lightning were all in one camp, and we were planning to move to other villages where it rained, as we have just come out of winter, the rain has stopped started at nine o’clock at night. , and then the lightning struck the goat camp, we were all scared,” he said.

Ali Afey, a local resident, stated that the lives of three 40-person families depend on live animals, and the family now has nothing.
