Baidoa (KAAB TV) – The President of the South West Administration, Abdiazis Hassan Mohamed “Laftagareen,” and the Chairman of the South West Disaster Management Authority, Mohamud Macalin Mohamud, attended an important meeting in Baidoa, the capital of South West Somalia, to discuss how to handle the situation. had humanitarian conditions in the territories under their administration.

The group covered how to reach out to those who had recently been freed from Al-Shabaab, as well as the stabilisation plan.

The meeting in Baidoa, where peace and stability were restored, was centred on how to provide immediate assistance to the local population. The leaders emphasised the necessity of delivering help to the most vulnerable people, as well as measures to restore normalcy in the liberated area.

President Laftagareen agreed to work closely with the SDMA and other charities to address the issues confronting the people of Baidoa and the surrounding areas.

He emphasised the importance of working together to address humanitarian issues that have been aggravated by recent conflicts and the displacement of people from their homes.

Governor Mohamud Macalin has reported on the SDMA Agency’s numerous efforts to provide urgent help to those in need. These include delivering food and non-food items, providing medical help, and constructing temporary shelters for persons displaced by the fighting.

He also emphasised the significance of long-term solutions, such as infrastructure maintenance and livelihood restoration, to maintain the region’s long-term viability.

The group also discussed how to secure international assistance to address the humanitarian crisis in Baidoa and the South West administration in general. Both President Laftagareen and Commissioner Moallim urged the international community to provide the region with the resources and assistance it needs to recover from the ravages of the conflict and support continuing stabilisation efforts.

The meeting between President Laftagareen and Governor Maallin is a significant step towards addressing the humanitarian issues in Baidoa and the South West State Government.

Focusing on how to deliver immediate comfort and a long-term solution, the leaders underlined their commitment to supporting the people of the region and finding a better life for them after the recent release from Al shabaab.
