Jubbaland (KAAB TV) – The Parliament of Jubbaland State Government voted today to amend some of the provisions of the Constitution of the State Government, most of which benefit the President.
Article 70 limited the period in which the President of the Jubbaland Regional Government can explain himself to that position after the end of his term of office which was previously not known to be more than two times but now it has been made unlimited.
It is a matter of interest to the President for the longest time and the Presidents of the Regional Governments under the Federal Government of Jubbaland, this eliminates the debates that were often brought about the implementation of that provision.
it was moved to article 65, making the term of office of the president five years, the candidacy for the president is open and unlimited.
This step paves the way for Ahmed Madobe to stand up again for the presidency, which he has been sitting in since Jubaland, and it is not known how things will end.
Ahmed Madobe, who has been in charge of Jubbaland since its establishment in 2013, is once again preparing to hold an election similar to the one that took place in Kismayo.
