Somali MP Rushed to Nairobi for Urgent Medical Treatment Amid Poisoning Fears

|

MOGADISHU (Kaab TV) – Somali Federal MP Mohamed Abukar Jacfar was urgently flown to Nairobi on Saturday evening after his health condition worsened, sparking concerns of possible poisoning.

Jacfar had been receiving treatment at Digfeer Hospital in Mogadishu following a sudden illness.

Medical sources suggest that toxic substances were detected in his body, specifically affecting his abdomen.

Doctors at Digfeer informed the MP’s family that his condition required advanced treatment unavailable in Somalia.

An air ambulance was arranged from Nairobi and transported Jacfar from Mogadishu to the Kenyan capital, where he was admitted late on Saturday.

MP Jacfar, a former Commissioner of Dayniile District, is a prominent political figure in Mogadishu. He commands a strong armed militia and is closely associated with former President Sheikh Sharif Sheikh Ahmed, who now leads the opposition against the current administration of President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud.

No official statement has yet been made about the MP’s condition, but reports indicate his health remains critical.
