GALKAYO (KAAB TV) – Armed assailants mercilessly shot and killed Dr. Sakariye Abdi Jama, a young medical professional, at his Al-Haramayn Clinic in the Mudug region’s town of Galkayo, central Somalia on Saturday evening September 9.
Eyewitnesses recounted the horrifying event.
Dr. Jama was attending to patients in his clinic when the armed perpetrators abruptly entered the premises, briefly talked to him before tragically ending his life.
Disturbing footage from the clinic’s CCTV cameras captured the chilling moment when two individuals engaged in conversation with the doctor alongside a female receptionist. Suddenly, a third assailant, armed with an AK47, burst into the clinic and fatally shot Dr. Jama. Shockingly, two of the three assailants were dressed in police uniforms.

The female receptionist has reportedly suffered injuries during the violent shooting.
All three assailants managed to escape the scene before authorities could apprehend them.
While initial reports suggest a possible motive rooted in clan-based revenge, local security officials in the Mudug region have yet to provide official statements regarding the incident.
Dr. Sakariye Abdi Jama was a promising young physician dedicated to both his studies and serving his community. His life was tragically cut short while he was diligently tending to the health of others, leaving little hope for justice to be served against those responsible for his senseless murder.
