MOGADISHU (KAAB TV) – At least five people were killed and several others injured after an IED blast rocked a teashop in Dayniile, Mogadishu, on Saturday morning, according to local sources.
The explosion occurred as locals were gathered in the teashop. Security sources confirmed that women are among the victims.
No police or ambulances responded to the scene, leaving locals to transport the bodies and the injured to the hospital using a minibus.
Insecurity is on the rise in Mogadishu, with civilian casualties increasing amid ongoing terror attacks.
The Mogadishu security forces remain unable and ineffective in protecting civilians.
