Dwindling aid and corruption leave Mogadishu displaced community hungry

|

MOGADISHU (KAAB TV) – In Mogadishu, Somalia, the displaced community is grappling with hunger as aid dwindles and corruption plagues the humanitarian sector.
The dire situation is exacerbated as Ramadan commences, particularly impacting vulnerable women and children residing in displacement camps.

With aid organizations struggling to provide essential support, the displaced residents of Mogadishu are left at the mercy of hunger and deprivation.
The combination of dwindling aid and rampant corruption has created a crisis where basic necessities are increasingly scarce.

Kaab TV recently interviewed some of the internally displaced persons (IDPs) in Mogadishu to gain insight into their perspectives on the unfolding situation. Their testimonies shed light on the harsh realities faced by those living in displacement camps, where access to food and resources is severely limited.

As Ramadan begins, the displaced families request urgent aid to address both the immediate hunger crisis and action to address the systemic issues of corruption within the humanitarian sector.
