Baledweyne (KAAB TV)- Heavy rains in and around Baledweyne City, the capital of Hiraan region, displaced many homes from the Kooshin and Hawa Takako areas.
The rain fell for about three hours in an order, causing substantial flooding in the Koshin and Hawa taako areas.
Residents in Koshin and Hawa tako neighbourhoods, especially Kutimbo and Dhagahjibis branches, awoke last night to find a lot of water in their homes.
The situation worsened as heavy rains caused flooding in the Shabelle River.
Although the water yesterday night in one of the suburbs of Baladweyne was not a flood of the Shabelle River, people are nevertheless showing more worry since the river has overflowed.
Residents in several of these areas told the media that the water had washed away all of their household assets, including food, bedding, and other items. They further stated that only their children had been separated from the water.
Last night, the long route between the city and the Eeljale area was flooded in water, causing worry among the residents. Last night, several individuals slept on the side of the road because water had entered their homes.
The rain that poured in Baladweyne also delayed flights at Ugas Khalifa Airport, which was closed.
