MOGADISHU (KAAB TV) – The humanitarian crises caused by droughts and floods have severely impacted the communities living in the Gedo region, while in Luuq district, efforts were made to resolve clan militia conflicts between local groups.
The conflict in Luuq, which has now been resolved through an agreement, led to the displacement of over 700 families in the past month.
There is also strong opposition to the plan to bring Egyptian forces to replace the Ethiopian forces, a proposal that the Gedo regional administration and local residents have strongly rejected.
