Kenya and Somalia had a JCC meeting in Nairobi to discuss the bilateral relationship.

NAIROBI (KAAB TV) – The leaders of Somalia and Kenya will attend a joint committee meeting from May 3 to 6, 2024.

Mohamed Fatir, African Director of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, leads the Somali mission, as does Ambassador Gabriel Ibrahim Abdulle, the Federal Republic of Somalia’s Ambassador to Kenya.

The meeting will be divided into two sessions: joint technical committee meetings from the 3rd to the 5th of May and a ministerial session on the 6th of May, chaired by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Fiqi, and his counterpart, Dr. Musalia Mudavadi.

During the talks, the officials will concentrate on Cooperation will be expanded in trade, infrastructure, security, agriculture, tourism, health, education, and the blue economy.

The Joint Commission for Cooperation between Somalia and Kenya (JCC) will be followed by a visit to Kenya by Somali Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Bare, who will meet with President William Ruto.
