Muqdisho((KAAB TV)- MPs and federal government ministers are calling for an immediate agreement after a tribal fight between militias from southern Mudug in Galmudug and the Galdogob district in Puntland.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ahmed Macalin Fiqi, and the Minister of Transport and Aviation, Fardowso Osman Igaal, who represented the two groups, attended a meeting to discuss conflict resolution in the Mudug region.
A statement released after the meeting emphasised the need for a quick ceasefire, and another peace meeting was planned early next week. The Saad community in Mogadishu will host the next meeting.
The conflict between the two communities centres on a land claim, with the latest wars resulting in several losses.
