NAIROBI, Kenya (KAAB TV) – Kenya’s Mandera County officials have said at least three people were killed and 12 others injured in Al-Shabaab bomb explosion that took place in Mandera on Monday.
In a statement the police said at around 10.20am there was Al-Shabaab terrorist attack that targeted a hotel named Fish Point where people eating.
The hotel is close to the police station.
The police statement mentioned names of those killed and injured.
The injured are receiving treatment at Mandera County referral hospital.
Mandera County officials led by the health services minister Mohamed Ali Omar visited the injured people following the Monday terrorist attack.
“Mandera County Government stands in solidarity with the affected families and will fully support them as they overcome this painful and difficult moment,” the County Government said in a statement.
Police said they were conducting postmortem for the deceased victims.
Al-Shabaab claimed the responsibility of the attack.
