Puntland’s regional administration missed the national consultation conference in Mogadishu.

|

Garowe  (KAAB TV) – The Puntland regional government announced that they will attend the meeting of the national general assembly of Puntland’s central and regional leaders, where the leaders of the government will gather, ignoring their refusal to exchange knowledge with the other candidates.

In an interview with local media, Minister of Information Mohamud Eidid Dirir stated that the federal government must maintain the legal foundation before Puntland can contemplate participating in constitutional negotiations.

“We do not recognise the legitimacy of the current government, who is inviting us to talk, returning to the law is the most important thing, then we can talk with them, they have nothing to do with Puntland, they organised their event. ,” he went on to say.

President Mohamud has scheduled the meeting to take place in Mogadishu from April 21 to 22, during which efforts to combat terrorism and complete the country’s constitution will be reviewed.

Despite opposition from Puntland and former Presidents Sheikh Sharif and Mohamed Farmajo, the Lower and Upper Houses of the Federal Parliament approved an adjustment to the first four provisions of the Transitional Constitution on March 30.
