Baydhabo (KAAB TV)The Federal Government of Somalia’s forces, assisted by local militias, attacked Al-Shabaab positions in the Bardale area in the Bay region.
The targeted strike happened in the Taflow area, which is around 28 kilometres south of Bardale district, where militias had established positions.
According to a government news release, the raid killed 9 Al-Shabaab fighters. The army used a variety of weapons.
“During the operation, the region’s military and security forces recovered 7 AK-47 rifles, 1 BKM rifle, and many boxes of ammunition.” The statement also stated that 9 extremists had been killing.
According to recent reports, allied troops have successfully taken control of Taflow, which was previously a target for Al-Shabaab operations.
The Somali government forces and local communities in the Bay and Bakool regions conduct regular operations against Al-Shabaab to disrupt the militias’ activities.
