Hargeisa (KAAB TV) – Minister of information the administarion of Somaliland Ali Hassan Mohamed (Ali Marehan) has given details about the agreement reached with Ethiopian goverment.
Also, the minister Ali Marehan said that the agreement signed with the Ethiopian government is now at the final stage, and he noted that soon something will come out of the agreement that is of interest to both parties.
Minister Ali Merehan also said that the commercial cooperation with Ethiopia and the use of Berbera port has increased in recent times, and they hope that it will continue to increase.
On the other hand, Ali Meryhan also said that the representative of Ethiopia in Hargeisa has now been changed to an official ambassador. He noted that they have a long border with Ethiopia and have had a deep relationship for 30 years.
“For the last 30 years, they have had a deep relationship such as security and trade. It is the country with the longest border with Somaliland our border with Somalia is longer than that of Ethiopia therefore, many things depend on you in terms of politics and security, everything depends on Ethiopia.” said Minister Ali Merehan.
Somaliland’s Minister of Information also said that the Somali government said that it is closing the Ethiopian consulate in Hargeisa, and he described the news as an illusion.
“Somalia says that a hand you can’t cut off is kissed. In Somalia, we are wearing something that they can’t wear to treat Somaliland and Ethiopia in a friendly way,” said the Minister
Somaliland’s Minister of Information said that the implementation of the agreement with Ethiopia is nearing completion, and we will soon hear good news about the agreement.
