MOGADISHU (KAAB TV) –The Banadir region court finished today the hearing of Sayid-Ali Macallin Daoud’s library, in which it is said that he burned his wife Luul Abdicasis Mohamed.
This was the final session, and it was attended by the participants in the argument, namely the prosecution and defence lawyers, as well as the general audience, which included both sides’ family.
Today, the court provided extra opportunities for the defence counsel to present their facts and arguments, while the national prosecution had already heard and referenced this case.
Today, there were reports from our workers and doctors at Digfeer Hospital in Mogadishu where the deceased died, and it was also claimed that some of the injuriesof the deceased were treated and according to her report.
Accused Sayid Ali, who also spoke at the scene, urged that his case not be politicised, but rather looked at in terms of justice, and that if he was involved, he be held accountable.
“I did not kill my wife.” If he is found guilty of this crime, he will kill me tomorrow,” said the accused, Sayid-Ali Ma’allin Daoud.
Finally, the chairman of the Court of Appeal, who announced that the hearing in this case had completed, stated that the official decision would be revealed at the next session and would move the verdict announcement date ahead.
