MUQDISHO (KAAB TV) – The Somali government has restarted the fight against the Al Shabaab group, which remains strong in areas and districts of Hirshabelle and Galmudug regions.
Also, the country’s army has already made considerable success in its operations in Hirshabelle and Galmudug; nonetheless, forces have returned from districts and territories previously taken by Al Shabaab.
President Hassan Sheikh who visited military camps in Mogadishu yesterday bid farewell to new troops who are expected to lead new operations.
The President added to this army to end the Al Shabaab group that is still in the country’s areas, and he told this army that the Somali people are expecting success from them.
The army that was released from Mogadishu will join the army on the front lines of the conflict, and it will lead new operations to drive Al Shabaab out of the regions that it controls.
The Somali government, which has been involved in several conflict, has made significant Improvements but these wins have not been sustained, and government forces have withdrawn from numerous regions where Al Shabaab has been driven out.
