The Speakers of Somalia’s and Djibouti’s parliaments are meeting at a high level to improve their relations.

MUQDISHO (KAAB TV) –Sheikh Adan Mohamed Nur Madobe, Speaker of the People’s Assembly of the Parliament of the Federal Republic of Somalia, has travelled for Djibouti on a business trip to meet with his counterpart, Dileita Mohamed Dileita.

According to sources close to the situation, the two Governors have been in talks about establishing a close link between their respective parliaments. The programme includes a discussion of Somalia and Djibouti’s relationship vision, as well as how to pursue additional cooperation and knowledge exchange.

A special committee entrusted with improving relations and brotherhood between the Republic of Somalia and Djibouti has made significant contributions to the high-level meeting’s preparations. The committee’s deliberations centred on the strategy to increase the frequency of meetings between the two countries’ parliamentary members, with the goal of improving understanding and collaboration in a variety of subjects.

The 11th Parliament of the Federal Republic of Somalia has already formed specific committees to develop ties with other parliaments in the country. These commissions are vital in fostering continued conversation and collaboration between Somalia and Djibouti, as well as contributing to regional diplomatic initiatives.
