MOGADISHU (KAAB TV) – The United Nations in Somalia extends its warm wishes to all Somalis as they celebrate the special occasion of Eid al-Adha.
Muslims worldwide begin their Eid celebrations on Sunday, marking the end of the Hajj season, the annual pilgrimage for Muslims.
“On behalf of the entire United Nations family in Somalia, I wish you all a peaceful and joyous Eid al-Adha,” said the UN Secretary-General’s Acting Special Representative for Somalia, James Swan.
“We join Somalis as they celebrate this holy day, an inspiration for strengthening solidarity, tolerance, and stability across the country – Eid Mubarak and Ciid Wanaagsan!”
