MOGADISHU (KAAB TV) – The Himilo Qaran party has made serious accusations against the Federal Government of Somalia’s Defense Minister, Abduqadir Mohamed Nur Jama.
Member of Parliament Yuusuf Gama’diid, who is the secretary of the Himilo Qaran party, held a press conference in Mogadishu where he accused the minister of previously being a member of terrorist groups and being appointed to the position of Defense Minister without being held accountable for his crimes.
The MP addressed numerous attacks carried out by terrorist groups against government forces, claiming that the minister was present during some of these attacks and fled the scene. “Regarding the attack at Ceel La Helay, the minister was informed. He said that we would defend ourselves when they attack us, but when the attack began, he fled,” said MP Yuusuf Gama’diid.
MP Gama’diid emphasized the need to investigate the stolen military rations and the casualties sustained by the forces.
The MP urged the president to appoint a minister who understands the job.
When discussing the minister’s response to former President Sheikh Sharif’s remarks yesterday, MP Gama’diid described the Defense Minister as “a fool who doesn’t recognize his own foolishness.”
