Mogadisho (KAAB TV) – A statement issued by the African Union Command in Somalia (ATMIS) called on the federal government and the Jubbaland government to find a solution to the conflict that resulted from the Jubbaland elections in Kismayo.
The statement issued by ATMIS said that they are concerned about the conflict between the government and Jubbaland and it was said that ATMIS is very interested in ending the conflict.
ATMIS is neutral in the political aspects of Somalia, it is stated in this text and they want to have a peaceful election in the whole country.
The African Union mission ATMIS said they are calling on the political stakeholders of Somalia, especially the federal government and the Jubbaland authorities to resolve the conflict between them through dialogue and consensus.
The news from the ATMIS forces also stated that they are concerned about the news broadcast by some media, as stated in the text, that some of their police forces in Kismayo are part of the election that was rejected by the government.
